I am normally not a morning person. I prefer to stay cozied up in bed for as long as l can. However, since my daughter was born I am almost always up before the sun. Most days I am not happy about it, but this past Sunday I gained new appreciation for those who take the opportunity to say "Good Morning" to the sun as it rises up over the horizon to light up the day. #sunrise #goodmorning #itsabeautifulday
I love the vibe of the beach first thing in the morning- calm and relaxed. It's usually just you and maybe a few others. Everyone is spaced out, enjoying the beach in different ways; some fishing at the water's edge, some jogging, some walking along the shore stopping occasionally for shells, and others sitting on a bench taking in the view and breathing in the salty air. I'm able to really absorb my surroundings and see the beauty that's in front of me. I close my eyes and imagine all of the possibilities I can create through the lens. Can you feel the magic of the morning yet? It's the perfect time to capture memories made in the sand, and with these two wonderful families I did just that. #beachvibes #beautythroughthelens #capecodlife #photography #minisessions #beachsession
I still smile when I think about the pure joy I felt driving home after these sessions. I knew I had captured love and life like I hadn't before. A few weeks back I came across a quote that I feel truly describes myself as a photographer: "A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people"-Annie Leibovitz. I want to capture the essence of what makes you authentically unique, and the exciting thing about photographing people is that everyone's essence is different. I side with lifestyle photography because it allows me to pay attention to those details that reflect each family or couple (the details that seem to stop time and catch at the heartstrings), and I can create a collection of photos that tells the story of who they are.
Thank you #capecod for another amazing day behind the camera. And thank you to all of my families who have allowed me the priveledge of falling in love with you and your stories.
